Host of Championship clubs want Fulham midfielder available on loan

Fulham will listen to offers for Kevin McDonald, according to Sky Sports.

The experienced midfielder has fallen down the pecking order with the Cottagers in the Premier League and looks likely to leave on loan this month. A host of Championship clubs are believed to be interested in him.

The 30-year-old has played 11 times for Fulham in this campaign but is not part of their new manager Claudio Ranieri’s plans.

McDonald, who is a Scotland international with five caps for his name, joined Fulham in 2016 and has since played over 100 games for the London side. He played a key part in their promotion to the Premier League last season under Slavisa Jokanovic.

He is vastly experienced in the Championship and would be a decent acquisition for any side and has racked up over 500 appearances so far in his career.

McDonald started out at Dundee and went onto impress for their first-team before earning a move to England with Burnley for £500,000 in 2008. He helped the Clarets gain promotion to the top flight in 2009.

However, he was loaned out to Scunthorpe United and Notts County before leaving permanently for Sheffield United in 2011. He spent three seasons in League One with the Blades prior to being snapped up by Wolves for £750,000 in 2013.

McDonald was part of the Wolves side who won the third tier title in 2014 and he played over 100 games for the Molinuex club before leaving for Fulham.

It will be interesting to see what is in store for McDonald this month.
